Delete your account

You can delete your Aviation Aware account whenever you like. Deleting it removes the data we hold about you.

In the app (instant)

Open the app, tap your account button, then Delete account, and confirm. It is removed straight away and cannot be undone.

By email

If you can no longer use the app, email hello@aviationaware.com with the subject “Delete my account” and the email address on the account. We may reply to confirm it is really you, and we will delete the account within 30 days.

What is deleted

• Your account and sign-in (email, hashed password, and any link to Apple, Google or Facebook sign-in).
• The flights you follow and your saved trips.
• The push-notification addresses of your phones, so alerts stop.

What deleting does not do

• It does not cancel a paid subscription. Apple bills subscriptions, so cancel in your iPhone’s Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Cancel first if you do not want to be charged again.
• Routine server logs kept for a short time by our hosting provider, which do not include your saved flights.

If you signed in with Apple, Google or Facebook

You can also remove Aviation Aware from that account. On iPhone: Settings → your name → Sign in with Apple. For Google: myaccount.google.com/permissions. For Facebook: Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites.
